Smart Hebrew Flashcards for Android is an educational app provided by Grossman Labs LLC. This notice describes the Android app, rather than the separate Grossman Labs website or other apps.
Information and learning progress
The app does not require an account. Grossman Labs does not collect personal information, learning activity, device identifiers, or location through this Android app. The app contains no advertising, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK.
The app stores your display preferences, completed lessons, completion dates, and vocabulary progress in a database on your device. Grossman Labs does not receive this database. The app does not sell or share these records with advertisers or other companies.
Pronunciation audio
When you request pronunciation audio, the app passes built-in Hebrew or English educational text to the compatible speech service installed on your device, currently Google text-to-speech. The app does not pass your learning progress or personal information to that service. It prefers an installed offline voice when available. Depending on the available voice and your speech-service settings, the service may require a download or network access and may process information under its own privacy policy. You can use the app’s written learning materials without enabling pronunciation audio.
Android backup and device transfer
Android may back up or transfer app data according to your device and Google account settings. These system services are operated separately from Grossman Labs. Manage backup and restore through Android’s system settings.
Retention and deletion
Learning progress stays on your device until the app’s data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. To erase local progress, open Android Settings, select Apps, choose Smart Hebrew Flashcards, open Storage, and select Clear storage or Clear data. Wording varies by device. This resets your progress and preferences. Manage any system backups separately through your device or Google account settings.
Intended audience
This Android app is intended for learners ages 13 and older. Grossman Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Support and changes
